Yes! Our models are designed to fit perfectly over existing baseboards, offering a quick, effective, and economical solution to refresh a room without having to remove them.

Orac Decor skirting boards: Design, Water-Resistant & Ready to Paint

Forget about wooden skirting boards that swell or fragile MDF. Orac Decor skirting boards (in Duropolymer®) are the reference for a perfect and durable finish. Shock-resistant, 100% waterproof, and easy to install by gluing, they ensure an elegant transition between your floor and walls. Also, discover our solutions for Assorted cornices for a total look.

Why choose Orac instead of wood or MDF ?

The secret lies in the material (Duropolymer):

  • ? ? 100% Waterproof: Ideal for the bathroom or kitchen (never warps when washing floors).
  • The text "?" does not have a specific meaning. It is a symbol often used to represent a question or uncertainty. Shock-resistant: Protect your walls from vacuum cleaner bumps or toys.
  • ? ? Ready to paint: Delivered with a white primer layer. A single finishing coat is sufficient.
Renovation: How to hide old baseboards without removing them ?

It's the magic of the Surplinthe Baseboard (or Cover Skirting). These are hollow models (like the SX171) designed to be glued on. over Your old skirting boards made of tiles or wood.

Result: A quick renovation, without dust, without risk of damaging the plasterboard, and without debris !

Can these baseboards be installed in a bathroom ?

Yes, absolutely! Unlike wood, Duropolymer is resistant to moisture.

Important: For installation in damp environments, you must absolutely use the specific adhesive. DecoFix Power (FDP700) to ensure waterproofness.

Can electrical wires be hidden behind it ?

Yes, most of our skirting boards have a technical space (channel) at the back. This is ideal for discreetly concealing a TV cable, Ethernet cable, or an extension cord without having to make grooves in the wall.

Which glue to use for installation ?

The choice of glue is crucial for Orac Decor warranty:

  • DecoFix Pro (FDP500): To stick the baseboard to the wall (on a porous/plasterboard surface).
  • DecoFix Extra (FX200): ESSENTIAL for sticking skirting boards between them (junctions).
  • DecoFix Power (FDP700): For smooth surfaces (tiles) or wet surfaces.
Do you need to sand before painting ?

No, no need to sand! Orac skirting boards are pre-painted with a high-quality primer. Simply clean them after installation and apply your finishing paint (acrylic or lacquer) directly to match them to your wall.
